Work-Around
A Windows Service has been written which addresses the issue and should be installed on any workstations which are affected by the issue (if using terminal services, install on the server as well if needed). You can download the service from here.
Now add or edit the Sys.Server.Setting("PLMGMTSRVKillFileCreateAllUsers")="Y" for any company that the user logs into. This can be carried out in PowerLink by logging into the PowerLink company as supervisor, go to the menu item PowerLink | Tools | System | Edit Data File select the SysSettingServer table and then edit or add a record with Code= "PLMGMTSRVKillFileCreateAllUsers" and set the Value="Y".
