How do I create a Hyperlink to attach a document to a job task

I want to be able to insert a hyperlink to a Job specifications document (detailed, external to PowerLink), not attach the document as they want to see the “final” doc. So what are the best options? Setup a custom field as a hyperlink? Or is there another hyperlink type field that I could use at a Job level.?
