Issue
When trying to login to PowerLink 3.0 the following error message displays.
Error: The expression CheckUser you entered in the form control's ValidationRule property contains the error The function you entered cant' be used in this expression.
The user cannot get past the Login screen.
Cause
This issue is caused if the PowerLink dlls have been registered to a location that is not accessible to the current user. The reason the dlls are not registered to the current user can vary but one reason is that a ClearView workstaion install has been run on one of the User Profiles in a terminal server environment after PowerLink and ClearView have already been installed. It may also be caused by the installation of other Microsoft Products after installing Powerlink.
Work-Around
To resolve this issue run the PowerLink installer in the User Profile that PowerLink was originally installed. The installer will get to the following screen.
Click the back button and select the Repair option
Click next and complete the repair

This issue is currently under investigation.
